Snack Bars     

Ingredients:
Dry ingredients:
2 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup powdered milk
1 cup powdered peanut butter
1/2 cup vanilla protein powder
1/4 cup ground flax seed
1/4 cup chia seeds
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt

Wet ingredients:
3/4 cup honey
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation:
Whisk dry ingredients together until evenly distributed. Combine wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon until well combined.

Line a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper. Press the mixture evenly into the pan, pressing out all air pockets. Refrigerate 2 hours then pull the parchment paper out of the pan. Use a sharp knife to cut the block into 12 bars. If the knife sticks, wipe it clean between cuts.

Wrap each bar individually in plastic wrap. Store in a gallon Ziploc bag in a cool dry place. These will keep for six weeks at room temperature, longer if refrigerated. Each bar has around three hundred calories and fifteen grams of protein.
