Bacon Alfredo Tortellini
Ingredients: 2 (9 ounce) packages refrigerated cheese tortellini
6 strips bacon cut into small pieces
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 cups heavy/whipping cream
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Preparation: Cut the bacon into small pieces, fry it in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy.
Meanwhile, cook pasta according to directions on package.
Remove bacon to a paper towel lined plate. Drain all but 1 tablespoon bacon fat from the pan. Stir in the garlic, chicken broth, cream, and cream cheese. Return the pan to the burner on medium heat, stir until smooth and slightly reduced. Stir in the parmesan cheese and bacon. Toss with the drained tortellini.
